The company uses an industry-standard Car Bench™ jig to construct all shells. The jig attatchments for all minis are available, whether Mk1, Mk5 or van.
The jig has a set of movable crossbeams, which are moved along the bed for different vehicles; a mini van will haves the crossbeams further apart than a shortie.
The jig can be used for as many different vehicles as are commercially available, because the different manufacturers make and sell sets of clamps for each vehicle, which are often eagerly bought up by companies who rent these clamps out to bodyshops, which is often very costly.
We are fortunate enough to have our very own set of clamps for the mini, which can be fitted to all types of mini.
The jig is used to ensure that the mini to be constructed is straight, and all mountings, eg subframe mounts are correctly positioned.
